Mountain Light Behavioral Services, Inc. is vendored by North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC), Westside Regional Center, Frank D Lanterman Regional Center, and Harbor Regional Center to provide Behavior Analyst (service code 612) and Behavior Management Assistant services (service code 615).
Catherine C. Lichtenberger, EdD, LMFT, BCBA has been providing behavioral treatment to individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of residential and vocational settings for over 30 years. Dr. Lichtenberger has successfully provided behavior services to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors with developmental disabilities with a wide range of behavior deficits and excesses.
Mountain Light Behavioral Services uses an applied behavior analytic approach that includes assessment and individualized function-based intervention. Services include assessment, individual training, and parent/caregiver support and training.
Goals for Mountain Light’s assessment and intervention services include the following:
- Meets the unique needs of children, adolescents, adults, and seniors with developmental disabilities
- Identifies challenges, problems, and skill deficits before they require treatment in a more costly or restrictive setting
- Determines the social validity of assessment and intervention procedures with the individuals served and their caregivers and addresses any concerns to ensure the individuals served achieve maximum benefit from services
- Addresses the cultural and linguistic needs of the individual with disabilities and his/her family/caregiver
- Provides assessment and intervention services in coordination with the individual’s Individual Program Plan (IPP)
- Supports and promotes the individual’s participation in his/her natural environment
- Uses evidence-based procedures that are supported in the research literature
Licensed Small Family and Group Homes, Adult Residential Facilities, Foster Family Agencies, Family Home Agencies, Day Programs, and Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly
Mountain Light provides behavior consultation to a variety of programs that serve individuals with developmental disabilities. Currently, we provide services to licensed small family homes, group homes, adult residential facilities, residential care facilities for the elderly, foster family agencies, family home agencies and behavioral day programs in Southern California. Behavior consultants work closely with program administrators and direct care staff to ensure that both maladaptive behaviors and skill deficits are addressed utilizing positive behavior analytic strategies.
Behavior consultation services are tailored to meet the needs of each specific program; but typically include development of data collection strategies, functional assessment of behavior problems, development of detailed treatment plans, monitoring of client progress, staff training, and quality assurance activities. Dr. Catherine Lichtenberger, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a licensed Marriage Family Therapist (MFT), oversees all behavioral services.
Services are available in Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley, Antelope Valley, Harbor, and Ventura County in Southern California. Other locations by specific request.
